Boudewijn "Bolo" Zenden (born 15 August 1976) is a Dutch footballer who played for Liverpool from 2005-2007 before joining Marseille.
Liverpool career[]
Zenden joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Middlesbrough on 4 July 2005. He was given the number 30 jersey and made his debut on 13 July 2005 as a substitute in the 3-0 win against The New Saints. His first full game came against The New Saints in the second leg Champions League qualifier on 19 July 2005. Zenden made his Premier League debut against his former club Middlesbrough on 13 August 2005 in the 0-0 tie. Zenden's first Liverpool goal came on 25 October 2005 in the 2-0 win over West Ham United. Zenden scored only one other goal in his Liverpool career which came against Portsmouth on 19 November 2005 in the 3-0 win.
In the next season Zenden played in both Champions League semi-final games against Chelsea scoring Liverpool's first goal in the penalty shootout in the first leg. He also started in the 2007 Champions League Final.
Zenden left for Marseille on 6 July 2007 on a free transfer having scored two goals in 47 games.
