Darren Michael Potter (born 21 December 1984) is an English footballer who played as a midfielder for Liverpool from 2003 to 2007.
Liverpool career[]
On 10 August 2004, Potter made his Liverpool debut, coming on as a substitute for Steve Finnan in a 2-0 away win over Grazer AK. Two weeks later, Potter made his first start, playing the full 90 minutes in the second leg of the Champions League qualifier. Potter made 10 appearances in the 2004-05 season, used mainly in the cup competitions, featuring heavily in the League Cup as the Reds made it to the final. He also made three appearances in the Champions League, earning a winners medal despite not being in the match day squad for the final.
Potter made seven more appearances in the 2005-06 season, with six of them being in the Champions League. However, Potter was loaned out to Southampton for the rest of the season. In the 2006-07 season, Potter was loaned out to Wolves, who eventually signed him on a permanent deal.
