David Martin (born 22 January 1986) is and English goalkeeper who played at Liverpool from 2006-2010, making no league appearances. In the summer of 2010, Martin signed for Milton Keynes Dons.
Liverpool career[]
Martin signed for Liverpool on 12 January 2006 from MK Dons. Still in shock over the move, Martin said "I'm really looking forward to it, it might take a couple of months for me to actually realise what I've achieved in signing for Liverpool."
Due to the presence of Jerzy Dudek, Pepe Reina, and Scott Carson, first team opportunities were always going to be limited, but Martin managed to make the substitutes bench on numerous occasions during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons.
Martin was sent on several loans during his time at Liverpool with spells at; Accrington in 2007, Leicester for the 2008-09 season, and Tranmere, Leeds and Derby during the 2009-10 season. Upon returning, Martin resigned for his old club MK Dons on 12 May 2010, and joined them on 1 July 2010, expressing delight at playing for them again.
