Gerardo Alfredo Bruna Blanco (born 29 January 1991) is an Argentine footballer who played for Liverpool from 2007 until the summer of 2011. He left Liverpool in 2011, joining Championship side Blackpool.
Liverpool career[]
Hailed as 'Madrid's Messi', Bruna joined Liverpool from Real Madrid in the summer of 2007. Upon signing, Bruna said "I already knew about Liverpool from the Champions League: the final we won and the final we lost. These games, as well as the Chelsea semi-finals, made a big impression on me." His first season was spent mainly in the reserve team, whom he helped win the Northern Premier League. On July 18 2011, Bruna signed a permanent deal with Championship club Blackpool, having failed to make a first team appearance for Liverpool.
