Jordan Lussey (born 2 November 1994) is an English footballer who played as a midfielder for the Liverpool Academy and U21s from 2010 to 2015.

Liverpool career[]

Lussey is a product of the Liverpool youth academy who plays as a central midfielder for the Liverpool Under 18s. He impressed greatly in his first season with the side, netting nine goals from 27 appearances to put him second in the team's scoring charts, behind Adam Morgan. He made more appearances than any other player for the Under 18s in 2011-12, and was given the captaincy in the latter stages of the season by coach Mike Marsh. He retained the armband under Steve Cooper for the 2012-13 season and continued to impress, scoring three goals in 20 games. He also made the step up to the U21s during the season, making two appearances in the League and four in the NextGen Series. He became a more permanent fixture with the U21s during the 2013-14 season, making 15 appearances out of a possible 22, and netting three goals.

On 10 June 2015, it was confirmed that Lussey was not to be offered a new deal at the club, and would be released.

Playing style[]

Lussey is highly regarded at Kirkby for his range of passing and his "all-action displays," and has developed a reputation for scoring eye-catching long-range goals. Lussey states that he aspires to be like current first-team captain Steven Gerrard.
