James Smith (born 17 October 1985) is an English footballer who played for Liverpool from 2005-2007 making one appearance. He left Liverpool in 2007, joining Stockport County.
Liverpool career[]
Having played through Liverpool's academy system, Smith signed his first professional contract in 2005. Smith made his Liverpool debut against Reading in the League Cup on 25 October 2006, coming on as a 74th minute substitute for Lee Peltier. This turned out to be Smith's only ever Liverpool appearance however. After a loan period to Ross County and Stockport County he moved permanently to Stockport County in December 2007.
