Paul Martyn Konchesky (born 15 May 1981) is an English footballer who played for Liverpool between 2010-2011 where he made 18 appearances without scoring a goal. He left Liverpool in 2011, joining Championship side Leicester.

Liverpool careerEdit

Konchesky joined Liverpool from Fulham on 31 August 2010 - where he linked up with his former manager Roy Hodgson - in a deal worth £3,500,000. Upon signing for Liverpool, Konchesky said "I’m 29 and this is my last chance to play at the highest level. That is what Liverpool are and I’m looking forward to getting a new lease of life and playing at a very high standard. I can’t wait to pull on a Liverpool shirt. It is a massive club and a big step for me."

He made his Liverpool debut on 12 September 2010 against Birmingham in a 0-0 draw. After falling out of contention with manager Kenny Dalglish, Konchesky was loaned out to Championship side Nottingham Forest.

Konchesky departed on 13 July 2011, having spent just one season at the club, when he was sold to Leicester for a fee rumoured to be £1,500,000.
