Rafael Euclides Soares Camacho (born 22 May 2000) is a Portuguese footballer who played as a fullback or winger for Liverpool up to 2019.

Liverpool career[]

In 2016, Camacho joined Liverpool on trial, after leaving the Manchester City academy. After impressing in this short spell, his deal was made a permanent one. He quickly made an impact at U18s level, and was quickly moved up to the U23s side, impressing with his versatility across the front line.

On 7 April 2018, Camacho was named on the substitutes bench for the Merseyside Derby, his first involvement with the first-team squad. He then went on to play a massive part during pre-season, most commonly being used as a right-back behind Trent Alexander-Arnold.

On 7 January 2019, Camacho made his Liverpool debut, starting at right-back in a 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Wolves. Two weeks later, he came on for his Premier League debut in the closing minutes of a 4-3 win over Crystal Palace.

This proved to be his final first-team action however, with the youngster disagreeing with his use in a more defensive role, and refusing to sign a contract. This led to Liverpool trying to move him on, to prevent him leaving for cheap the following year.

On 27 June 2019, it was confirmed that Camacho had moved back to Sporting CP, for around £5,000,000, with around £2,000,000 in potential add-ons. Liverpool also reportedly included an option to buy back the youngster as well.
