Stephen Mark Darby (born 6 October 1988) is an English defender who played for Liverpool from 2006 until 2012. After being released by the club, he signed for League Two side Bradford City.
On 18 July 2006 Liverpool's official website announced that Darby had been one of five academy players promoted to Melwood.
Darby earned his first professional appearance in a League Cup game against Tottenham Hotspur in 2008. He made his Champions League debut on 9 December 2008 against PSV Eindhoven. Darby made his first professional start for Liverpool on 9 December 2009 against Fiorentina in the Champions League. On 20 January 2010 Darby made his Premier League debut against Tottenham as a substitute in the 90th minute.
Darby has had two loan spells away from Liverpool. The first was to Swindon Town on 11 March 2010, that lasted for the remainder of the 2009-10 season. The second was to Notts County on 1 November 2010 where he spent much of the 2010-11 season.
On 7 July 2011 it was confirmed that Darby had sealed a full season loan to League One side Rochdale. Darby was with Rochdale until June 2012.
On 1 June 2012, Liverpool confirmed that Darby's contract had expired and was not to be renewed. Darby went on to sign for Bradford City.
