Steven McManaman (born 11 February 1972) is a retired English professional footballer. He played for Liverpool from 1990 to 1999. He played as a winger, making a total of 364 appearances and scoring 66 goals.

Liverpool careerEdit

Born in Kirkdale and a supporter of Everton in his youth, McManaman joined Liverpool when he 16 years old in 1988. On 19 February 1990, he became a full Liverpool player. Later that year, on 15 December, he made his debut under Kenny Dalglish as a substitute for Peter Beardsley. In the nine seasons with the Reds, he had won two major honours.

On 1 July 1999, he transferred to Spanish side, Real Madrid.
