Wilfred Bartrop (born 22 November 1887 - died 7 November 1918) was an English footballer who played for Liverpool as a forward from 1914-1915. He made three appearance while at the club.

Liverpool careerEdit

Bartrop was signed from Barnsley by Tom Watson on 13 May 1914, the fee for the transfer is unknown. The Worksop born outside forward made his debut on 19 December 1914 against Oldham Athletic, and kept his place for the next match against Bolton Wanderers on Christmas Day. However after this Bartrop saw no further involvement with the first team until 17 April 1915, in a match against Bradford Park Avenue which Liverpool won 2-1.

The outbreak of the First World War halted Bartrop's footballing career as he joined the Royal Field Artillery as a Gunner. He was killed in action on 7 November 1918 in Belgium, just four days before Armistice was declared.
